And it's really hard for them to change their pronunciation habits after a long period of time speaking like that. Therefore, good pronunciation is really important when you start learning Vietnamese.Please note that at the beginning of learning Vietnamese, just pick only one of the accent to follow, Northern or Souther accent. And later when you are at the intermediate or advanced level, you can practice listening both Northern and Southern accent. But first, just one of them.
