It was fast-paced, exciting, and full of action.The characters were great and I found myself rooting for Rebekah, our protagonist, early on. I especially enjoyed her interactions with Jackson and totally shipped them right from the beginning. Also, I feel the need to say that the dialogue between the characters in this book was great."
"Eyes of the Grave" was my first foray into reading urban fantasy fiction. I found it a thoroughly enjoyable experience - a great read and true page-turner. I will be back for more, especially as the author produces additional stories about her primary characters, Rebekah and Jackson. Chelsea Callahan creates a world of otherworldly, supernatural creatures far beyond any expanse my mind ever had been able to reach using my own imagination. Personally, before reading "Eyes of the Grave," I was quite content not knowing what I didn't even know beyond my self-generated fantasy world consisting only of vampires and werewolves with a few witches sprinkled in for good measure. This remarkable fantasy author demonstrates a unique writing ability to involve her reader immediately and intimately in the action of the story she weaves. I found myself personally invested in her characters and what happens to them. I highly recommend this novel to anyone, especially as a "must-read" if you have ever found yourself fascinated by a werewolf, a vampire, a witch, a warlock, an alien, a shapeshifter, a mummy, a monster, anything that happens to go bump in the night, or some combination thereof."
