Dr.Explain is based on a unique interface analysis and screen capture system. Thanks to this system, Dr.Explain can automatically analyze an application's user interface, take screenshots of all controls and elements, and then add explanatory callouts to all images in the draft help system. After that, all one needs to do is add descriptions to the callouts, and save the result in the HTML, CHM, RTF, or PDF format.

Dr.Explain is a comprehensive help authoring tool that provides a quick way to create all necessary documentation for your product.

The program comes with an intuitive GUI that is unlikely to give you any troubles, regardless of your experience with similar tools. You can get started by importing data from external files (HTML, CHM, XML, HLP, RTF, DOC, or plain text format) or you can just as easily do it from scratch.

Behind the relative simplicity of the interface stand numerous advanced features that permit you to create any sort of documents. You can easily add a new title for the help manual, create a table of contents, add new topics, specify the topics order by moving them up or down, as well as rename or delete the selected topic.

Moreover, you can perform find and replace operations, insert images (PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP), take screenshots, customize text messages in terms of font, color, and alignment, and embed URLs. Your documentation can be further optimized by creating bullet lists to highlight important aspects.

Once you are satisfied with the results, you can export the documentation material to both standard or online formats, depending on how you want to distribute them. In other words, you can export the help files, user guide or any other sort of helpful files to HTML, PDF, RTF, or CHM. You will be happy to learn that the tool enables you to customize the layout and size of your documents, as to make sure that the audience can read it.

Regardless of whether you are a QA specialist, software developer, marketing expert, business analyst or even C-level executive, Dr.Explain can simplify the way you create the documentation to support your product or service.
