Plot:
Die Sportkomoedie The Fantastic Flitcrofts erzaehlt die Geschichte des legendaeren "schlechtesten Golfers der Welt" Maurice Flitcroft nach. Dieser meldete sich bei der British Open Golf Championship 1976 als Profi an, obwohl er ein miserabler Spieler und Amateur war. Trotzdem schaffte er die Qualifikation und schrieb durch seine anschliessende Leistung beim Turnier Geschichte. Nun schluepft Mark Rylance in die Rolle des Maurice Flitcroft.
