Plot:

Die Kinder Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher , Richie Tozier
(Finn Wolfhard , Eddie Kaspbrak (Jack Dylan Grazer , Beverly
Marsh (Sophia Lillis , Ben Hanscom (Jeremy Ray Taylor),
Stanley Uris (Wyatt Oleff) und Mike Hanlon (Chosen Jacobs)
leben in einer Stadt namens Derry im USBundesstaat Maine,
in der immer wieder Menschen verschwinden  sowohl
Erwachsene, als auch vor allem Minderjaehrige. Im Laufe
eines Sommers erfahren die Kinder schliesslich von einer
monstroesen Kreatur, die Jagd auf Menschen macht und sich in
die schlimmsten Alptraeume ihrer Opfer verwandeln kann.
Meistens tritt das Biest jedoch in Form des sadistischen
Clowns Pennywise (Bill Skarsgrd) auf. Die sieben Kinder
wachsen nach und nach zu einer eingeschworenen Gemeinschaft
zusammen, dem Club der Loser, und schwoeren, die Kreatur
zu vernichten, die Bills Bruder Georgie (Jackson Robert
Scott) auf dem Gewissen hat..
